A couple of drones that appear in the video are looking more like prototypes. It would be interesting if you posted your ideas on how to design a drone for emergency operations. Some obvious (or maybe not that obvious) things to take into account:
- Redundancy of motors/props: octacopters are better than hexacopters, hexacopters are better than quadcopters. Quadcopters have no redundancy of the motors or props.
- Parachute failsafe system. One of the drones seems to have a parachute dome on top of it, so this might have been taken into account already.
- Flight control redundancy, such as Gemini by Zerotech.
- All standard failsafe features, such as out of range and battery failsafe.
